Raven black hair whipped in the soft breeze that blew across the lush, green grass. Selene smiled
as she watched one of Rukabat's most beautiful sunsets. Selene watched her green firelizard, Maire, fly across the sky, and
soon land on the sweet smelling grass next to her. Maire chirped and Selene smiled, and rubbed the top of her firelizard's
head. Maire crooned and looked up as a shadow fell over her and a brown firelizard playfully tackled her. "Hello sister!"
said Selene, her blue eyes looking her sister over. Amira, was Selene's sister. She was barely taller than Selene, and she
had lighter hair and eyes. Her firelizard was Thorin, the pesky one out of Maire and himself. Maire, she was smart, Thorin,
was annoying. Both firelizards were obediant at least. The two sisters smiled but then frowned at the sight of a brown dragon
landing close to them. A group of girls hurried over, followed by a mass of boys, rushing out of the Hold. Amira and Selene
stood, brushing the grass from their dark brown trousers. Both were wearing short sleeved tunics. Amira's was green, and Selene's
was blood red.
The two knew they would be unwelcome to the crowd, mainly since their father and mother were
both drudges. They had to put up with being low-class, unwanted people. They didn't like it either. They were treated like
scum for it. Yet, they didn't know why, even if they were poor, their parents had raised them right! Shards! At least theyhad
common sense, respect, and smarts and weren't brats!
They walked amongst the girls with their heads held high and proud. "What are you two doing here?"
spat a blonde girl. Amira glared, "We are here to see if we will be searched." The blonde girl laughed evilly, and the suit
was followed by her cronies. "Right! Like you two would ever impress." The blonde girl scoffed, and then a flying punch hit
her square across the cheek. Selene grinned but then she was knocked the the ground by a brunette girl. Amira flew at the
brunette and punched her in the stomach and then when the girl doubled over, she took her elbow and hit her in the middle
of her back, making the girl fall the the ground. Meanwhile, Selene had jumped up and went to hit the blonde. The blonde grabbed
her foot so Selene's hands hit the ground and her other foot came up and knocked the blonde in the side of her face, making
her fall. Amira and Selene gave eachother high-fives. "YOU TWO!" The Brownrider said and the two girls froze and looked at
him. "I liked the fight, get to the dragon. You two, go see your healer." he said and walked to the dragon. "We are going
to Lantessama." He said and Amira and Selene mounted the brown behind the Brownrider. The brown launched into the air,
and /betweened/.
The dragon landed on the island and Amira and Selene gasped. They dismounted, and they were now
the new Candidates for the current clutch at Lantessama Isle.
