Reckuf stood and walked out of the Kitchens, down a hall, and to the outside world. He sighed
and breathed in deep, taking in the sweet smells of the grass and the fresh smell the lake gave off. He imagined being out
on the lake, bathing his own dragon then the dragon bugeling. Bugeling? Why did it sound so real? He snapped into reallity
just as Skitty chirped and looked towards the sky. A green dragon circled down from above, her hide glimmering in the light
of Rukabat's rays.
Reckuf stared as the green circled down, back-winged, and landed on the ground gracefully. Her
rider dismounted and was immediately encircled by youths of all ages. He, the rider, smiled at them as his dragon sniffed
them one by one. It took a long time, but none we chosen. Reckuf finnally aproached the group just as the rider called out,
"Is this everyone?" Reckuf wanted to speak up, but he couldn't. Something held him back. Skitty chirped, which attracted the
rider's attintion. "You!" He said and walked to Reckuf. "What's your name?" He asked him. "My-my name?" The green rider nodded,
"Your name." Reckuf studdered, "Re-Reck- Reckuf." He said and Skitty chirped. "And this is Skitty." He added for the green
firelizard.
"Well, your comming with me." The green rider said. "Where?" Reckuf asked, shocked. "Lantessama
of course!" He said, beaming. Reckuf smiled brightly. "Go get your stuff, I'll talk to your folks." He said and Reckuf rushed
off and packed his things. An hour later he was asride a green dragon.
"Hold on tight!" The green rider said and the green launched into the air and the wind rushed
in Reckuf's ears. Then, a cold enveloped him and his firelizard. He didn't even have time to scream or take another breath.
But before long, they were circling Lantessama, Reckuf and Skitty's new home.
